An exclusive and sought-after suburb on the way to the Northern Beaches, St Ives is located on Sydney’s Upper North Shore and offers a desirable lifestyle with accessibility to the CBD.
Once known for its abundant apple orchards, St Ives’ increasing residential demand caused an end to its commercial fruit industry. During WWII a significant number of troops were barracked in the area and as a result Archbold Road was built, as a secondary and emergency route to the city. St Ives achieved its most rapid influx of residents after WWII.
St Ives Shopping Village is a landmark on Monavale Road, with a supermarket, banks, grocers and other speciality retail shops, while there are also restaurants and cafes nearby. There are many public ovals, parks and green spaces to enjoy, including the Village Green and Pymble Golf Club is also located within the suburb.
There are many schools in St Ives, including St Ives Public School, St Ives Park Public School and St Ives North Public School, Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School and Sydney Grammar School for children in grades K-6.
