ExploreVaucluse

Vaucluse, located on the South Head peninsula, is one of Sydney’s most beautiful and affluent suburbs. Sublimely situated for luxurious living and with the Sydney Harbour on the west and the Tasman sea to the east; properties in Vaucluse can command some of the most breath taking views both across the harbour to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and out to sea.

Mainly a residential suburb, together with neighbouring Watson’s Bay, Vaucluse is one of Sydney’s most expensive suburbs with the average block being a whopping 614 square meters. Just 8km to Sydney CBD and with Dover Heights and Rose Bay directly to the south, Vaucluse is home to some of Sydney’s most beautiful and secluded harbour beaches including Parsley Bay and Neilson Park.

There are many beautiful landmarks in Vaucluse, most notably is the majestic Macquarie Lighthouse which sits on the cliff top near the South Head guiding ships safely into the harbour. Famous and historic buildings include Vaucluse House, Strickland House, and Greycliffe House all holding stories of Sydney’s former elite as does the South Head Cemetery situated in a dramatic coastal location and home to a smattering of famous souls such as Australia’s first PM, Sir Edmund Barton.

Vaucluse is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful suburbs in Sydney.
